1. Does McDonald's SCM endorse/support the Supplier Network (SN)? How will the SN ensure alignment with McDonald's SCM?
Yes! McDonald’s Supply Chain staff members endorsed the development of this independent network of suppliers. The Supply Chain Team remains informed, engaged and aligned through comprehensive updates with the SN Executive Board.
2. What is the difference between the Supplier Advisory Committee (SAC) and the Supplier Network (SN)?
The primary differences between the SN and the SAC are membership, governance and intent. The SN encourages all suppliers to participate and learn from each other. While the SN is endorsed by McDonald's, it is governed and supported solely by suppliers. In contrast, the SAC plays a key advisory role directly to the McDonald's system. SAC membership is by invitation and is governed by McDonald's.
3. How will the Supplier Network provide value to the system?
The SN will add value to the McDonald’s system by strengthening the links in the Supply Chain. There is a wealth of knowledge and information available that can be leveraged across the system by those who have demonstrated achievement in the area. By building, elevating and leveraging knowledge, the SN will work to provide quality, informational events and educational opportunities that respond directly to the needs and requests of the membership via webinars and in-person meetings. Executive Meet & Greets will provide our members with the opportunities to hear from Senior Leadership on the state of the business and learn what suppliers can do to support the System. We also encourage attendance at our Power Hours where our members can meet and converse with McDonald’s guests and other members of the Supplier Community.
4. What are the benefits of joining the Supplier Network?
Supplier Network members enjoy several benefits. The following are just a few examples:
Exclusive access to up-to-date information, education and training
Member-only events featuring subject matter experts on a variety of relevant topics: McDonald's Info, Professional Development, Networking
Password-protected website featuring articles, a comprehensive calendar and member directory
Best practice sharing and exchange of knowledge among members of the Supplier Community
Participation at the committee and board level in the Supplier Network
5. What is the criteria for joining the Supplier Network?
Membership in the SN is voluntary and shall be open to companies that are qualified active suppliers to the McDonald's System in the US. To qualify, a company must Sell goods and/or services to McDonald's Restaurants in multiple regions versus one region or parts of regions. The company must be an Approved Supplier to the McDonald's System and must have all documentation required by McDonald's in place, including a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and/or Business Relationship Agreement (BRA) with McDonald's or its supply chain management services provider, HAVI. Individuals may be members if they are direct employees of a member company or have the required documentation to be a supplier to McDonald's. Companies not meeting these requirements that wish to participate in the SN may be granted membership at the discretion of the SN's Board of Directors and with McDonald's approval.

Simply click on the JOIN NOW button on the SN Website Home page, choose your membership plan and follow the instructions.
7. Will the Supplier Network dues be allowed to my McDonald's Pricing Protocol?
